Horacio Rodríguez Larreta
joined the voices that were raised against the decision of the Secretary of Commerce to
add the Truckers union to the control of the Fair Prices program
with a direct criticism of the measure, describing it as illegal.
"The national government sends
the Truckers union and militants from Barrios de Pie to patrol
distribution centers to 'control prices,'" Rodríguez Larreta started a thread on his personal Twitter account.
In addition, he referred to the decision as "illegal, that
it is useless
and that it is the opposite of what we Argentines need."
Matias Tombolini had already confirmed on Twitter that from the Secretariat he commands they asked the Moyano union to collaborate with verification of compliance with the program in the distribution centers of large supermarkets.
And this Monday, Pablo Moyano confirmed that he spoke with the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and with Tombolini, and that they "asked for a collaboration to go to the distribution centers of the large supermarkets", but ruled out that it is the workers who control.
"The ones who control are the inspectors from the Secretary of Commerce, our boys take care of them and show them the merchandise they carry. They are the ones who control, inspect or fine," said the union leader.
For the head of the Buenos Aires Government, the presence of truckers in the distribution centers "
is illegal
because the State cannot use the unions or the piqueteros to control. They have nothing to do there, if the State wants to control something
it has to take care of himself,
he cannot delegate that task".
"But, in addition, it is useless," he insisted.
"I don't know how many times they will try to
push to control prices
before they are convinced that it doesn't work," he assured, before making his recipe clear: "Inflation is resolved with
planned measures
that attack the problem."
For the end, he returned to the idea of the intimidation that the Government would be trying to impose among businessmen and merchants.
"Those who work and produce need to get their paws off their chests and let them work, not to send mobs to squeeze them by putting Argentines against Argentines. That the government dedicate itself to governing and let Argentines work," he concluded.
