Brunnthal
– Brunnthal's Mayor Stefan Kern (CSU) is cautiously optimistic: "I don't believe in a blackout." On the other hand: You never know, especially in times of impending energy shortages.
And Thomas Mayer (CSU), second mayor, sees things a little differently than his town hall chief: he thinks disaster will happen at the latest "when the traffic light coalition shuts down the last nuclear power plants in the spring".
Then there could be a major power outage, with the result that telephones and the Internet as a means of communication would fail.
"And the municipal administration must remain accessible, especially in times of crisis," says Mayer.

The municipal council has therefore now unanimously decided to purchase three satellite radios (one for the town hall and one each for the fire brigades).
In addition, the conclusion of a StarLink contract is planned.
However, this should be done in coordination with the other municipalities and the district office.
Starlink is a satellite network from the US aerospace company Space X, which offers internet access for 80 euros a month.
