Ilan Mengistu, the brother of Avra Mengistu, reacts to a video released by Hamas in which his brother is allegedly shown being held by them.
"There is no doubt that the video has many signs with it body movements and facial features that remind Avra, but still over eight and a half years have passed.
"There are things I'm still not sure about, but the very fact that Hamas admits that there is a prisoner named Avra already says what we knew all along that he is in their hands and he is alive. We hope that the government will do everything to return him home."

The brother's voice breaks: "It's very mixed emotions, it's hard to digest and I see the mother crying and the video is constantly being watched from every angle to really see if it's him or not, so the family is currently helpless. "The brothers along with me have also seen the video many times and the mother, there is a spark of hope in her eyes after seeing the video because a mother knows her son better than anyone, her feeling is very good about the video but as I mentioned, the family is still investigating the issue in depth."
