The Navarrese Sergio Sayas and Carlos Adanero seek "formally their possible integration into the structure of the PP" to create an electoral platform

Sergio Sayas and Carlos Adanero, the two defecting deputies of the Unión del Pueblo Navarro (UPN), will meet tomorrow with the leadership of the PP to "formally analyze their possible integration into the structure of the PP and work in a coordinated manner on the configuration of a competitive project” facing the regional and local elections in May and the general elections in December.

The two parliamentarians have retained their seats in Congress despite the fact that they were expelled from the party for which they were elected, for having voted against the labor reform on February 3, despite the UPN order to support it (the law came out forward thanks to the error of the deputy of the PP Alberto Casero).

Sources of the PP of Navarra have stressed that the objective is to broaden the electoral base to "bring together the center-right vote."

The meeting on Tuesday will be attended by the president of the PP of Navarre, Javier García;

the general secretary, Amelia Salanueva, as well as Sayas and Adanero themselves.

The aforementioned sources of the PP have assured that the desire for understanding between the platform of the two Navarrese deputies and the PP of Navarra "is broad".

Thus, they have specified that the purpose is "to unite the center-right vote", but that they also aspire to achieve that of "those people who do not want a government of the Pedro Sánchez party with the support of Arnaldo Otegi's party for the regional community". .

The two deputies have formed a block in Congress with the PP, and now seek, they say, to create in Navarra "a competitive project that stops attacks on a community in which the PSOE governs thanks to the express support of Bildu."

Adanero confirmed last week the talks with the PP.

"I, with the PP, am going to sit down this month of January to see how we can raise the elections, first of all in the Foral Community of Navarra", the deputy assured.

Sayas, for his part, sees it as "possible" to reach an agreement with the PP in Navarra to find "a formula" to integrate, in order to be "an option for the Navarrese center-right", whose voter "is orphaned".

"I consider that the agreement is possible", has advanced the deputy, who has also indicated that "in a near way" he will hold a conversation on this matter with the "popular".

The president of the Community of Madrid and the Popular Party of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has stated that she is happy about the new signings of the PP such as the former spokesperson for the PP in the Basque Parliament, Borja Sémper, or the former minister Íñigo de la Serna, and he has indicated that he would "love it" for the deputies temporarily expelled from UPN, Sergio Sayas and Carlos García Adanero, to join the PP.
