A year after Russia and Belarus held a large-scale joint military exercise, and three months after Ukraine concentrated its forces on the Belarusian border, this morning the two countries began a joint exercise of their air forces.
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense said this morning that the fighter jets will take off from several military airports in its territory in an exercise that will also include a mechanized sub-division.

In the last day, Belarus accused Ukraine of committing "provocations" on its border.
However, Pavel Muravyko, First Deputy Secretary of State of the Belarusian Security Council, emphasized: "We maintain restraint and patience, we keep our gunpowder dry," adding that the situation on the country's southern border "is not particularly calm. We are ready for any provocation on the part of Ukraine," the senior concluded.
Kiev and the West now fear that Russia may use Belarus to launch a new ground attack in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the fighting on the ground continues in Dnipro.
When a Russian missile hit a residential building last night, the death toll rose to 35, and another 35 are still missing.
At the same time, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army reported this morning (Monday) that the Russian attack in the last day included the launch of 55 missiles.
In addition, the Chief of Staff of the US Army, General Mark Malley, said that his forces have begun training Ukrainian soldiers in Germany, where he will arrive in the coming hours to get a closer look at the situation.
