A young couple aged 24 and 28 from Rocham and Ashbul today (Monday) attacked a doctor, bruised him and threatened him due to differences of opinion between them regarding the treatment of their son at Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva.

The doctor was injured in the face and received medical treatment in the emergency department while the police station officer at the hospital detained the two for questioning.

The child is expected to be transferred to welfare or family agencies and will receive continued medical treatment if necessary.

The police officer who ordered their arrest under the suspicions said, "Threats, assault and actual sabotage by two or more, assaulting a public servant in order to fail him in his duty and they are expected to be brought before the Magistrate's Court in Be'er Sheva tomorrow for a hearing on their matter."

The doctor who was attacked said, "I went to work as usual, I was in the clinic, examining children. While doing so, I hear shouting and beatings on some surface outside the room, I went outside with several other doctors, I saw a young couple standing and beating on the glass windows of the office, threatening and shouting. The woman She said she was 100 percent disabled and deserved not to stand in line, 'Treatment is required now,' she said. They didn't wait for an explanation, we had several doctors stand there to understand, to see what was happening, to see that there would be no descent into more severe violence. At this point I told them it was over And at that moment the couple turned all the violence on me; they spat on me, cursed me, spat again, the girl tried to hit me, the guy tried to hit me, they both hit me. The incident was very short and very unpleasant, an incident of blatant violence. The security guards and policemen of the hospital All in all, they arrived quickly and prevented the incident from worsening."
