Weather change in the starting blocks: Permafrost and snow are heading for Munich and the region

For weeks it was much too mild in Munich and the region.
Now a weather change is announced, which can bring snow and permafrost.
Munich – The last few days were mainly characterized by the weather: strong wind and gray skies.
Not exactly the kind of winter weather that invites you to go for long walks.
Although that would theoretically be possible - it gets more difficult with winter sports.
As is well known, the last few weeks have left a lot to be desired in terms of snow and frost, in terms of white landscapes you have not been able to find anything in the region, only in the higher mountain levels could you get hold of some powder.
But a change in the weather is now imminent, which will bring temperatures that are more typical of the season than in the past.
But is it enough for snow?

Weather expert Dominik Jung from
wetter.net
explains that the vast majority of people in Germany will probably look down the drain when it comes to snow.
Only in the low mountain ranges is it probably enough for a few centimetres.
But Munich can - as of now - hope.
Current models show at least a few centimeters of fresh snow.
About an inch could come out of the sky in the city by the end of the week.
The further south you go, as usual, the more.
Up to ten centimeters are currently calculated in the Oberland and Alpenvorland.
After the weather was too mild for the time of year, wintry weather is on the horizon again in Munich and the region.

Bavaria weather: permafrost at the weekend in Munich and the surrounding area?
Winter sports fans can look forward to Jung nach, however, because snow cannons can work well in permafrost.
The temperatures in Munich will continue to drop until Thursday, with daily highs of around four or five degrees.
In the direction of the weekend, permafrost must be expected.
