Six years after Yakub Abu al-Qiyaan was shot dead in Umm al-Khiran, by policemen who claimed they thought he was a terrorist - his family is demanding that the state establish a state commission of inquiry.

"We petitioned the High Court to clear Ya'qub's name, and so that this event will be learned and not forgotten," said Lawala! his brother, Jaber.



The incident in Umm al-Khiran occurred in January 2017, when during the evacuation of the village, al-Qiyaan was shot dead by policemen who thought Because it was an attempted run-over attack. The brother also says that they want to clear Jacob's name completely, and called to come and visit the family.
