A relative of the mother, who allegedly imprisoned her baby son in a cage in Haifa, tried to explain in a conversation with "Israel Hayom" this morning (Tuesday) what was behind the incident that caused a stir.
"The mother hung laundry outside - and went upstairs to give food to her children."
The mother's detention was extended until tomorrow morning.

The relative backed up the mother's actions and claimed that she "invests in the children and sends them to school and takes care of them with devotion."
She stated that "due to the winter weather, the children stayed to play in the house in the cage. It was not locked and the mother certainly did not lock the child in the cage. The mother hung laundry outside - and went upstairs to give food to her children. The police are blowing up the story and nothing more."
Finally she adds: "The mother is really poor. Her friends and neighbors couldn't believe what happened to her."
