With the aim of preparing educational supervisors who are capable of educational work with all the practical and theoretical foundations it needs that serve the generations, the Profession Practice Office in the Second College of Education at Al-Baath University implemented a training course on “Preparing a Practical Education Group Supervisor”, with the participation of 20 trainees from the faculties of education. Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Basil Arnous, Dean of the Second College of Education, stressed to SANA Youth Bulletin the importance of this course, which is in the interest of students and graduates, as it aims to prepare supervisors for student teachers in scientific and educational preparation, and to enable them to follow them, pointing out that the course comes from the need for supervisors who have the ability to achieve The competencies of the teacher in a way that qualifies him upon his graduation from work in the schools of the Ministry of Education.
Arnous explained that the college's plan in the field of training and rehabilitation is wide for students to be real practical scientific outputs on the ground.
In turn, Dr. Abdul Ghafour Al-Aswad said: The course’s mission is to prepare a group supervisor in the practical education program, qualify him professionally, and provide him with the latest trends and developments in teaching and educational supervision, with the aim of preparing teachers and teachers, in accordance with national and international quality standards.
For her part, Dr. Heba Al-Shawish, the coordinator and trainer of the course, considered that preparing a supervisor for an educational group is a process that enables the supervisors to see the college plan in practical education, enhance their capabilities in planning, implementation and evaluation competencies, and enrich their knowledge of active learning strategies.
Dr. Rasha Khaddour, the trainer in the course, confirmed that the course dealt with several axes, namely the planning, implementation and evaluation competencies of the student teacher, “life skills, legal education, emotional learning”, during which the trainees were briefed on Arabic language skills, steps to apply them and teaching methods in order to increase their knowledge.
Participant Lama Atassi considered that the course contributes to setting the necessary educational concepts and helps the participants to transfer their experiences, knowledge and specializations to future teachers.
Participant Mohammed Al-Nafouri found that the course is necessary for all those involved in educational affairs, especially students and graduates who will face the job market in schools with students.
