The renowned Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg was arrested on Tuesday in Germany during a protest against the expansion of a coal mine.
The cameras of journalists captured the moment in which riot police took away Thunberg, 20, grabbed by arms and legs in the village of Luetzerath, west of Cologne and near the Garzweiler mine.

The small town has been the center of protests pitting the German government against environmentalists who say the planned expansion of the mine would release large amounts of greenhouse gases and violate Germany's commitments to the 2015 Paris climate accord.
