On video: Violence at Soroka Hospital: Parents disagreed with their son's doctor and attacked him in front of him (according to Section 27 A of the Copyright Law)
The Medical Association will suspend work at the Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva tomorrow (Wednesday) for three hours following the incident of violence that occurred yesterday at the medical institution.
During that case, a pair of parents attacked a doctor and threatened him due to differences of opinion between them regarding the treatment of their son.
Following the incident, the chairman of the Medical Association, Prof. Zion Hagai, emphasized that the Medical Association will use all the means at its disposal to fight the "epidemic of violence in the health care system". The legislative procedures to make the punishment and enforcement worse - we will shut down the entire system," he clarified.
In the meantime, the Beer Sheva Magistrate's Court today extended the detention of the suspected father. The mother was released under restrictive conditions, for which the police issued a request for execution in order to file an appeal.

The suspected parents are young men aged 24 and 28 from Rocham and Ashbul.
As a result of the attack, the doctor was injured in the face.
He received medical treatment in the emergency room while the police officer at the hospital detained the two for questioning.
The couple's son is expected to be transferred to welfare or family agencies, and will also receive continued medical treatment if necessary.
