A car driver was recorded driving towards a security guard and knocking her down at a checkpoint in the Lahavim settlement in the south - according to documentation published this morning (Tuesday).
The suspected driver is a young man of about 20, a resident of the settlement.
After the incident, he was located and arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, and his detention was extended until tomorrow.
As a result of the impact, the security guard was slightly injured.
The driver arrived at the entrance to the settlement, where he was asked by the security guard to stop there.
An initial investigation revealed that an argument arose between the two, after which the driver continued his journey while hitting her.
His investigation also revealed that the suspect wanted to leave quickly towards a fight that happened at the same time in the area of the Berhat compounds.
That fight involved shooting, and in it the city police officers arrested a suspect who was holding a gun with a bullet in the barrel.

During the night, the police arrested a 20-year-old resident of Ofakim on suspicion of breaking into a bank in the city.
The suspect was caught red-handed while on the spot, after the police received a report around 1:00 a.m. that the branch had been broken into.
The police, who arrived at the scene with increased force, noticed that the main door had been smashed, and realized that the suspect was probably there.
They entered the branch and arrested him.
