Negotiations on the future of Corsica are at a standstill, pending in particular a court decision, on January 31, on the semi-freedom of Pierre Alessandri, a member of the Érignac commando.
But clandestine activity and its judicial counterpart have started again with renewed vigor.
According to our information, more than twenty preliminary investigations for acts of terrorism on the island were opened by the national anti-terrorist prosecutor's office (Pnat) for the second half of 2022 alone. There were four for the whole of 2021. About ten judicial inquiries are underway and thirty people are currently under investigation.
A specialist therefore notes a
"real upsurge"
before immediately relativizing because
"the facts are of medium intensity"
.
