Faced with the stoppage of Congress, due to the opposition blockade after the request for impeachment, the governor of Chaco suggested a radical position: rule by decree.

In the midst of the controversy and the questioning of the Government for its advance against the Supreme Court, Chaco Governor Jorge Capitanich redoubled the bet this Tuesday and asked President Alberto Fernández to increase the number of judges in the highest court and reform the Council of the Magistracy through Decrees of Necessity and Urgency.

"Totally, here is a question that we have to be clear about, and the President of the Republic should have that popular support regarding the implementation of measures that are key," Capitanich said without hesitation when asked if, if the difficulties persist To meet in Congress, the President had to go to the DNU.

And he added emphatically: "There are 37 legislative initiatives in which you have to seek the highest level of consensus, but if there is no consensus, due to the social and citizen consensus that this has, you have to go and work on implementation by Decree of Necessity and Urgency".

The former Kirchnerist chief of staff warned that "there is a law that regulates the functioning of the bicameral commission of the DNU, it is necessary that this initiative be given if there is institutional blockade by the opposition."
