The Center for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health announced today (17th) that a suspected food poisoning case broke out at the Yamm buffet at the Miramar Hotel, involving 11 diners, all of whom had eaten raw oysters. Three of the affected persons have sought medical treatment and did not require hospitalization .
All patients are in stable condition.

The Center for Health Protection said today (17th) that the suspected food poisoning cases involved 11 people.
The cases involved six men and five women, aged between 25 and 60.
On January 14th, they participated in a dinner buffet at the buffet Yamm in the Miramar Hotel, during which they ate raw oysters.
They developed abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea about 39 hours and 30 minutes later.
Three of the affected individuals sought medical attention but did not require hospitalization.
All patients are in stable condition.
The center appeals to the public to maintain personal, food and environmental hygiene in order to prevent food-borne diseases.
When eating out, you should pay attention to patronizing reliable and licensed restaurants, avoid eating raw seafood, handle carefully and separate raw and cooked food thoroughly during cooking, etc.
