Again and again Markus Söder lets his social media fans participate in his meals.

A nutrition expert has now analyzed the numerous photos.

Munich – In addition to pictures of his official appearances, Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder is best known on social networks for his numerous food photos.

There is even a hashtag #söderisst for it.

Now a nutrition expert has taken a closer look at the food pics of the CSU boss and draws a rather devastating conclusion.

Too many carbohydrates, fat and sugar usually end up on the father of the country's plate.

Söder's diet is full of fat, sugar and carbohydrates

Bratwurst, Strammer Max and ice cream, to name just a few examples from Söder's food repertoire.

Photos of his food keep ending up on his social media channels.

It's often hearty.

Then at Christmas there is a roast goose – because of tradition.

Of course, a lumberjack steak with roasted onions should not be missing.

You can also find a lavishly topped salami pizza with mushrooms when browsing his profile.

The prime minister is often celebrated for his choice of food.

The nutrition expert Tanja Maxeiner, however, draws a different conclusion.

"The trend is rather lush," she says

Maxeiner took a closer look at Söder's menu for the news portal and often discovered very greasy and carbohydrate-heavy meals.

For the steak picture, she says: "That's also a knockout portion." And for the goose it says: "That should remain a Sunday meal – and even better: only every other Sunday."

Maybe just a dumpling and a salad to go with it.” When it comes to spaghetti ice cream, she puts it in a nutshell: “Pure sugar and pure fat.”

CSU boss Söder has a hard time eating well with his schedule

Between the luscious fatteners, there are also photos of salads and healthy vegetable dishes from time to time.

Regarding the classic salad with chicken strips, Maxeiner says to

t-online

: "The salad is great.

The chicken provides protein and is not fat.

This food is high in energy, easy to digest and doesn't weigh us down at lunchtime. ”And in general she also protects the CSU boss.

Söder's tight schedule hardly allows for a balanced and healthy diet.

"I think that Söder is dependent on on-the-go cooking, and of course it's always difficult to eat.

You really have to give Söder credit for the fact that it's difficult to eat well."

Söder's eating habits were not only used by a nutrition expert as a basis for evaluation.

“heute-show” comedian Fabian Köster also loves to make fun of the Bavarian prime minister.

So he wrote to a fast-food photo of Söders, "Have you tried cannabis?", clearly referring to the strict drug policy and the CSU politician's memorable "Crystal Mett" speech.
