Official data issued by the office today showed that by the end of 2022, the country's population reached 141,175,000 people, a decrease of 0.85 million people, compared to 2021, noting that the country recorded 9.56 million births and 10.41 million deaths in 2022.

The data stated that by the end of 2022, the gender ratio reached 104.69, or approximately 105 men for every 100 women, while the male population in the country reached 722.06 million, while the female number reached 689.69 million, while the population reached The working age population between the ages of 16 and 59 at the end of 2022 is 875.56 million, or 62 percent of the total population.

The number of citizens over the age of 60 reached 280.04 million, or 19.8 percent of the total population.

920.71 million people live in Chinese cities, or 65.22 percent of the total population, while in rural areas the number is 491.04 million people.
