Ruhpolding – The case shocked at the beginning of December 2022: On December 4th, around noon, a walker found a dead infant at the Seekopf hiking car park near Ruhpolding, Traunstein district.
The horror find put the whole region into a real state of shock, and the police quickly investigated in the direction of a suspected homicide.
But so far, investigators have been poking around in the dark.
“Investigation group infant” on ZDF program – reward suspended
Now there is further movement in the case: In order to obtain further information, the investigators of the so-called "Investigation Group Infant" go on television.
By appearing on the ZDF program "Aktenzeichen XY … Unsolved", where the gunman from Regensburg is also being treated this week, they hope to gain new insights into the search for the baby's parents.
It will be broadcast on ZDF on Wednesday, January 18 at 8:15 p.m.

In addition, the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office has offered a reward of 5,000 euros for "information that leads to the investigation of the crime or the arrest of the perpetrator," according to the police press release of Monday, January 16.
The investigations are being carried out by the Traunstein criminal police under the direction of the Traunstein public prosecutor's office.

Police are asking for information about the dead baby
By calling (08 61) 98 73 0, the public prosecutor's office and the criminal police are once again asking the population for information.
Answers to these questions can lead to clarification of the facts:
Did anyone notice people in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene before or after the time they were found who could be connected to the crime?
Who can provide information on the possible child's mother?
Who knows a pregnant person who should have recently given birth and has no child?
Who could also make suspicious perceptions in their personal environment that could be related to the crime?
In addition, the officials point out in the press release that information can also be given anonymously.
In addition to the address given, every other police station also accepts information.
