150 years of the Rottach-Egern fire brigade: The Floriansjünger want to celebrate this anniversary properly this year.

– What the Holzkirchen fire brigade was denied last year because of Corona, the comrades from Rottach-Egern now want to put into practice this year: a fitting celebration of the 150th anniversary.
On the occasion of this anniversary, the Rottach fire brigade is planning an impressive program from May 18th to 21st with a marquee at Birkenmoos, a “Voibrand Party”, a family day, an evening full of live music and a procession through the town.
Planning for the anniversary of the fire brigade began in the "Corona high phase".
The Rottach fire brigade has already installed a countdown on their homepage.
120 days to go, then the celebrations for the anniversary will begin at Birkenmoos.
The planning for this started a year and a half ago - "in the corona peak phase", as commander Tobias Maurer reports.
At that time it was not clear how big the birthday party could and should be.
Over time, however, it became clear: the pandemic allows partying again without restrictions.
"So we're having a big party - just as it is customary," explains the commander.
To his knowledge, the Rottach-Egern fire brigade is one of the first in the Miesbach district to turn 150 and be able to celebrate.

When the Rottachers started putting out their feelers for tent rental companies and possible artists for the anniversary a year ago, the appointment calendars of many musicians were still empty because of Corona, says Maurer.
So it was also successful in obliging a real top-class player from the hit scene for an appearance.
On Sunday, May 20, in addition to Oimara as the local hero and the dialect rockers Lenze and de Buam from the district of Rosenheim, Melissa Naschenweng, who is considered the Austrian Helene Fischer in the scene, will also perform.
Advance ticket sales for the evening, which is themed “Fire & Flame”, have recently started.
Tickets for 38.50 euros are available from all tourist information centers around Lake Tegernsee or online from Munich Ticket, but there are additional advance booking fees and shipping costs.
"We've already sold quite a few things," says Maurer.
A total of around 2000 people will be able to experience the concert evening.
"We may be able to top that up," says the commander.

With the anniversary program, the Rottacher Wehr wanted to “cover everything from anywhere”, as Maurer says.
At the start on May 18th, the Tegernseer Tanzlmusi, the Alpenlandler Musikanten and Saso Avsenik and his Oberkrainer will play in the marquee from 5 p.m.
There is no pre-sale for this evening, tickets are only available at the box office.
On Friday, May 19, the district's fire brigades will compete in "Firetruck Pulling", followed by a "Voibrand Party" at Birkenmoos.
At the weekend there will be a big family day with a vehicle exhibition, aerial ladder rides, a fire wall and a bouncy castle, the concert evening "Feuer und Flamme" (Saturday) and a festive Sunday with a church procession, a field fair in the Kurpark and a procession through the town with historic vehicles.
"We will invite all our friendly fire brigades to this," announces Maurer.
A traditional ceremony is planned to follow.
Together with the members of the festival committee, Maurer hopes that the weather will also cooperate with the anniversary celebrations.
"But that should fit in mid-May."
