Deir Ezzor - SANA
The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with the Health Department and the Al-Thawra District Police Department, seized large quantities of expired foodstuffs and baby food, in a warehouse in Al-Joura neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city.
The head of the Al-Thawra neighborhood police station, Colonel Adnan Makhlouf, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that, based on information, patrols from the department, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, and the Health Department of Deir Ezzor City Council investigated the place where quantities of expired foodstuffs were found. They were confiscated and duly handed over to the supply authorities, and the owner of the materials was arrested, the necessary seizure was organized against him, and he was brought to the judiciary to receive his punishment.
In turn, the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Deir Ezzor, Bassam Al-Hazza, stated that the warehouse that was seized contained 829 cartons of expired foodstuffs, including jams, molasses, sweets, tomato paste, and baby food.
Yesterday, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Deir Ezzor organized 22 ration checks against a number of violating bakeries and commercial activities.
