The Haifa District Court today (Tuesday) sentenced a 58-year-old woman who murdered her 66-year-old husband five years ago to life imprisonment.
According to the indictment, the woman stabbed her disabled husband 65 times, while he was getting ready to go to work.
"She stabbed him in the face, neck, stomach, chest and back with the intention of causing his death," the indictment reads.
"First she stabbed him with a knife for cutting vegetables that she took in her hands from the kitchen, and noticing that the flame of this one was bent due to the stabbings, she went to the kitchen, took a meat knife, returned to him and continued to stab him."

According to the indictment, she continued the act despite the pleas of her husband, who asked her to call an ambulance.
The court panel led by Judge Diana Sela determined that she would also compensate the children and other relatives in the maximum amount of NIS 258,000.
After the murder, the neighbors said that the couple "had problems".
The two lived together for many years and had five children.
