Strike against pension reform: update on transport disruptions in Nantes

Some Semitan transport lines will run on reduced service this Thursday. For trains, TER will be removed.

A first day of strike is organized this Thursday, January 19, in response to the pension reform announced by the government.

In Nantes, a rally is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., at the Miroir d'eau, according to the UNSA Territorial union.

Disruptions are expected on the Semitan transport network.

Between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., some lines will be cut in the city center and their terminals will be moved forward.

The lines affected

Tram line 1: cut between Commerce and Duchesse Anne


Tram line 2: terminus at 50 Otages


Tram line 3: cut between Commerce and Hôtel Dieu


Busway line 4: normal route


Line C1: cut between Copernic and Foch Cathédrale


Line C2: terminus at Talensac


Line C3: cut between Copernic and Gare SNCF Sud


Line C6: cut between Delorme and Foch Cathédrale


Line 11: cut between Square Daviais and Foch Cathédrale


Line 12: cut between Talensac and Foch Cathédrale


Line 23: cut between Copernic and Talensac


Line 26: cut between Gaston Veil and Delorme

A longer waiting time

Outside these hours, the frequencies of certain means of transport will be increased.

Regarding the trams, you will have to wait for line 1 for 6 minutes and lines 2 and 3 for 8 minutes.

Users of line 4 of the busway will have to wait 5 to 8 minutes, and those of line 5 between 7 and 11 minutes.

The passages of the chronobuses will also change: 10 to 12 minutes for the C1;

9 to 13 minutes for C2;

10 to 13 minutes for the C3;

10 to 16 minutes for the C4;

12 to 14 minutes for the C6;

12 to 15 minutes for the C7;

14 to 16 min for the C9;

13 to 16 minutes for the C20.

Bus lines 10, 11, 12, 23, 26, 30, 36, 38, 50, 54, 69, 75, 80, 85, 86, 97, 98 and the Express E5 line will operate on green day schedules, with reduced passages.

The 28, 60 and the Express E4 line will operate on yellow day timetables.

As for the 27, 33, 40, 42, 47, 59, 66, 67, 71, 77, 78, 79, 87, 88, 89, 91, 93, 95, 96, Express E1 and E8 lines and the circuits of the Chapelle, they will run during normal hours, as will the Navibus services and the airport shuttle.

Finally, the Proxitan service for people with disabilities will be simplified, like school circuits.

On D-Day, the information will be available in real time on the tan.fr website, on the network's mobile application and on their Twitter account, to inform users.

Deleted TERs

As for trains, the SNCF invites passengers to postpone their trip since traffic is expected to be severely disrupted from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Friday.

On many lines, no TER will run:

  • lines 1/1bis Nantes – Saint-Nazaire – Le Croisic;

  • lines 2-2bis Nantes-Redon-Rennes-Quimper;

  • lines 4/5/21 Nantes-Angers-Le Mans;

  • line 6 Nantes-Cholet;

  • line 8 Nantes – La Roche sur Yon – Les Sables d'Olonne;

  • line 9 Nantes-Luçon-La Rochelle;

  • line 28 Nantes-Angers-Laval-Rennes;

  • line T1 Nantes-Châteaubriant;

  • line T2 Nantes-Vertou-Clisson.

On lines 10 (Nantes – Sainte-Pazanne – Pornic) 11 (Nantes-Challans – Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie) and 19 (Nantes – Angers- Saumur- Tours- Orléans), the service will be far from normal.

Severe disruptions are to be expected.

Few TGVs and no Intercités

As for the TGVs, only one in five will run on the Atlantic axis.

For Intercités trains, there will be no departure from Nantes station this Thursday.
