Not so long ago, France proclaimed even in its fundamental texts the attachment of the nation to its children.
Of this commitment of the elders, turned towards their heirs, we still find some traces in the legislative corpus - as in the beautiful preamble of the ordinance of 1945 on juvenile justice, drafted after the war -
"La France n is not rich enough from her children that she does not have the right to neglect…” -
but we are now looking in vain for her mark in political discourse.
How can we be surprised at the demographic fall, when the State abandons, more or less, any idea of family policy?
