The investigation into the death of Kfir Brigade fighter Corporal Denis Zinoviev, who was killed by a grenade explosion in his room, raised suspicions of a series of safety failures and poor conduct by the commanders in the training areas, a military source said. The last ones were 18-year-old Zinoviev and his company mates.
According to the assessment of those who were in the field, the soldiers returned to the rooms with grenades, and not with grenades, contrary to the safety regulations regarding training with grenade launchers.
