Former Pentagon advisor Douglas MacGregor considered that the Ukrainian regime forces have become in a difficult situation with the advance of the Russian army in Donbass and its control of the strategic city of Solidar recently.
“There are a large number of Ukrainian soldiers who were forced to wear military uniforms and go to the front, they are exposed to heavy fire, then they realize that the officers abandoned them,” MacGregor was quoted as saying by Novosti Agency, in a statement, noting that some Ukrainian soldiers surrender to the Russians and some flee from the battlefield and fall. In the hands of the Kyiv secret police who are lynching them.
MacGregor added: The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense sends recruits to their inevitable death thoughtlessly to prove to officials in Washington, Brussels and NATO that their money is not being spent in vain.
For his part, the commander of the Volunteer Unit Troya, Vladimir Novikov, confirmed that hospitals in Ukrainian cities are crowded with wounded soldiers from the Ukrainian forces, most of them from the city of Solidar, which was recently liberated by the Russian army.
