According to the police, based on tips and in-depth investigations, officers from the Criminal Department of the Wan Chai Police District launched an anti-pornography operation code-named "DRIVEBLAST" in the district yesterday (January 17) at about 3:00 p.m. Unit, smashed 7 suspected prostitution establishments.
During the operation, a total of 1 local man, 22 local women, 4 mainland women and 2 non-Chinese women were arrested, aged between 27 and 54. "Operating a prostitution establishment", "assisting in the management of a prostitution establishment", "illegal immigrant accepting employment" and "violating the conditions of stay", 12 women were suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing Mask) Regulations (Cap. 599I) ), the officer issued a fixed penalty notice.
In addition, three local male customers, aged between 28 and 56, were also suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing Mask) Regulations (Cap. 599I), and fixed penalty notices were issued to them.
All those arrested are being detained for investigation.
During the operation, officers seized suspected criminal proceeds worth 190,000 yuan in cash and a batch of exhibits, including business registration certificates, accounting books, condoms, lubricants and massage oil, etc.
