The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau announced today (17th) that Dr. Adrian Cheng was appointed as the chairman of the Cultural and Art Events Committee, and the former government economic adviser Chen Li Ailun was appointed as the vice chairman.

The Mega Events Committee advises the Government on strategies to attract arts and cultural events to Hong Kong, advises on the operation of the Arts and Cultural Events Fund and assists the Government in considering applications under the Mega Events Fund.

The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau announced the list of the Mega Events Committee today. In addition to the above-mentioned chairmen and vice-chairmen, Ou Chuyun, Qiu Yongyun, Wu Peishen, Wu Ruiyun (Wu Yu), Wu Wanting, Yang Guoliang and Yan Zhiming were appointed as the members of the Mega Events Committee.
