120 people were injured as a result of an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale that hit the city of Khoy, in West Azerbaijan Province, Iran.
Iranian television stated that the earthquake left 120 injured so far, and that most of the injuries were light, and occurred while residents fled their homes during and after the earthquake.
He stated that the Red Crescent relief teams are continuing follow-up operations.
An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck earlier in the day the city itself, without information on injuries.
