He probably doesn’t take it too seriously when it comes to climate protection: he completed 134 flights in 2022 – the shortest lasted only six minutes.

Elon Musk (51) is a busy man.

It therefore goes without saying that he often has to jet across the world for business meetings and the like.

A few years ago, a young student named Jack Sweeney came up with something very special: he uses a bot, i.e. an automatically running program, to track the flights of Tesla founder Elon Musk.

Since then, he has regularly published on Twitter exactly when and where his private jet lands.

Although the richest man in the world has repeatedly asked Sweeney to stop for security reasons and even suspended his account after taking over Twitter, Sweeney continues.

He only stopped, he said at the time, if he received a lot of money and an internship.

Apparently that didn't happen.

Fashion mogul Bernard Arnault is said to even want to sell his private jet because people are tracking it.

Because the young man simply created a new account, he is now posting the same data on @ElonJetNextDay, but with a 24-hour delay.

Anyone who follows this will quickly find out: Elon Musk probably doesn't care about climate change.

This apparently also applies to Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, who constantly fly private jets.

In 2022 alone he completed 134 flights, although it is not clear whether the 51-year-old was on board every time.

The shortest flight is said to have lasted just six minutes, but it could just as well be that the pilot just repositioned the plane.

Britain's Prime Minister recently outraged with a short-haul flight.

Private jet and climate change: almost 2,000 tons of CO₂ thrown into the air

According to tracking, the private jet has made trips to Brazil, France, Italy, Greece, Norway, Germany, Great Britain and Qatar.

The Tesla boss probably visited the World Cup there in December last year.

Musk's frequent flying has its price - also for the environment.

According to this, the 134 flights with the private jet are said to have produced a total of almost 2,000 tons of CO₂, the costs including the fuel are said to be over 1.1 million dollars (about one million euros).

However, Musk does not want to comment on these spicy revelations to date.
