2023 Year of the Rabbit︱New Year Greetings from the People’s Liberation Army Garrison in Hong Kong

Today is the 27th (18th) of the Chinese New Year, and the Hong Kong Garrison of the People’s Liberation Army issued a letter of greetings to the citizens, wishing Hong Kong people happiness, well-being, family reunion, and prosperity in all industries.

The Hong Kong Garrison stated that they sincerely admire and congratulate Hong Kong for its economic and social recovery, the successful holding of many international events, its strength to take off again, and its re-display of vitality and opportunities to the world.

Guarding Hong Kong is guarding our hometown, love can last for a long time

All the officers and soldiers of the garrison extended their sincere greetings and best wishes to the citizens. The garrison said that the garrison never forgets its original aspirations and helps Hong Kong compatriots. At a new historical starting point, they "know that guarding Hong Kong is guarding their hometown, and love lasts forever."

In the past year, the Garrison has resolutely implemented the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and President Xi Jinping, conscientiously implemented the "one country, two systems" policy, the Basic Law, and the Garrison Law, and accomplished various tasks centered on defense.

The Garrison sincerely thanks the SAR government, all walks of life and the general public for their long-term care, trust and support.

The army pointed out that the general public, who have experienced social turmoil and the test of the epidemic, hope for the beautiful vision of "national security, family safety, and people's reunion" more than ever before.

The troops firmly believe that with the firm support of the great motherland and the solid guarantee of the "one country, two systems" policy, Hong Kong will be able to give full play to the unique advantages of "relying on the motherland and connecting the world" to create greater brilliance.

The garrison will, as always, stick to its post and protect the safety of one side. Together with Hong Kong compatriots, we are full of confidence and expectations.
