Some of the hottest names in the Israeli restaurant world will cooperate with the "Living with Dignity" association in a project in which dishes with an Eastern European flavor will be sold • The proceeds from the dishes will be dedicated to helping survivors

On the occasion of International Holocaust Day, which will be held on January 27, the "Living with Dignity" association, which works on behalf of the elderly and Holocaust survivors whose hands do not reach, will collaborate with the leading chefs and restaurants in Israel to help survivors who are struggling to survive financially and who have difficulty purchasing food products and cooking hot meals for themselves.

As part of the joint project, from this Sunday until next Friday, the chefs will add to their restaurant menus a special dish with an Eastern European flavor, as a tribute to the survivors.

All proceeds received from the portion will be dedicated to helping survivors.

Also, diners will be able to donate with the help of signs that will be placed in front of the restaurants, on which will appear a barcode leading to a digital donation.

The participating restaurants in the project are the Mahaniuda group (which includes all the group's restaurants);

Zemach Restaurant, Makhaniuda Restaurant, Hasadana Restaurant, Dekal Restaurant and Yodel Bar, Popa Restaurant by Chef Aviv Moshe and Restaurateur Itzik Russo, Blue Rooster Restaurant by Chef Shaul Ben Adrat, Solika - the Deli by Chef Avi Biton, and Sitra Restaurant by Restaurateur Harel Blue and Chef Musab Abu Hadwan.

Erez Karlenstein, CEO (voluntarily) of the "Live with Dignity" association: "Throughout the year, we work to raise awareness of the difficult situation of tens of thousands of Holocaust survivors who still live among us, those who are forced to choose between medicine and food and who find it difficult to cook for themselves.

We distribute more than 1,500 cooked meals a day, in order to enable survivors to live their last years with dignity.

We thank the chefs and restaurants who rallied for this initiative and the people of Israel, who we are sure will embrace the Holocaust survivors this week and open their hearts and pockets to enable them to live in dignity."
