The El Al flight that took off this morning (Wednesday) from Israel to Sofia returned to its tracks shortly before the intended landing in the capital of Bulgaria.
In a conversation with El Al, the company explained that the company's plane, which had almost arrived in Sofia, ran into an area with strong winds, and the pilots realized that it would be difficult to land in such weather.
The pilots examined possibilities to land in nearby areas, but realized that even there the strong winds would not allow them to land the plane safely, so they decided to return the plane to Ben Gurion Airport.
The passengers of the flight, who as mentioned were supposed to arrive with her in Bulgaria, were transferred to hotels in Tel Aviv.
At the same time, the passengers who were supposed to fly from Sofia to Tel Aviv were accommodated by the Israeli airline in hotels in the Bulgarian city.
