The people of the cities of Dael, Sheikh Maskin and Ibtaa in the northern countryside of Daraa recorded the greatest values ​​of giving and benevolence, as they launched a campaign to collect financial and in-kind donations from the people of Daraa at home and in the countries of expatriation, to advance the service situation of the province and secure the requirements for the rehabilitation of what was destroyed by the war.

In this context, the civil committees in Dael, Sheikh Maskin, and Ibta’a have managed to collect more than 3 billion and 800 million Syrian pounds so far, and the doors of donations are still open to anyone who wishes. Something more valuable than the homeland and that its reconstruction is a priority for them.

Head of Dael City Council Riyad Al-Barghout, the city with the highest balance of donations so far at an amount of one billion and 550 million pounds, said: The people have formed a committee to collect donations from the sons of Dael who are known for their charitable work, indicating that the donations aim to rehabilitate 14 wells for drinking water and operate them with alternative energy. And lighting 6 km of roads with alternative energy, and also operating the Internet exchange.

The head of the city council of Sheikh Miskin, Shadi Al-Hussein, explained that the people of the city, old and young, and the poor flocked before the rich to the Donations Committee to provide what they have with the aim of rehabilitating the services, and the people have donated about 800 million so far for the benefit of the 7 water wells to be operated with alternative energy, and in the next stage Main roads will be lit with alternative energy.

Mayor of Abtaa Musa Al-Qatifan said: About one billion and 350 million pounds were collected, between financial donations of 800 million and in-kind donations of 550 million, explaining that the goal is to operate water wells with alternative energy, as the well of the old mosque was operated and connected to the network as soon as it became available. Funds, equipping new wells and lighting the central island with a length of 5.5 km with alternative energy.

The people of 9 cities and towns in Daraa were able, in the past period, to operate 9 Internet exchanges with alternative energy, as the local community in Jassim, Abtaa, Ankhil, Al-Hara, Tafas, Tal Shihab, Ghasham, Al-Ghariya Al-Sharqiya and Kafr Shams provided solar energy equipment in favor of operating the centers, which contributed to the availability of Internet services around the clock and reduce fuel consumption by about 50 percent.

Currently, the people of Abtaa and Jassem intend to equip two citizen service centers at their own expense, after obtaining the necessary approvals.

The town of Nahta collected about a billion pounds in a previous campaign in favor of water wells, sidewalks, and road lighting.

In the countryside of Daraa, donation campaigns in their various forms continue, whether for social or economic benefit, in a way that reflects the values ​​of solidarity and solidarity rooted in Syrian society.
