At first it seemed as if Lilli Gruber (Ronja Forcher, 26) found the man for life in Robert (Timon Ballenberger, 31).

But with "Der Bergdoktor" things are rarely as they first seem: What seemed like love at first sight culminated in a dramatic separation in season 15 after Robert had betrayed Lilli.

Now the two apparently have to say goodbye to each other forever.

Dramatic love from "Der Bergdoktor" - there is no longer room for Robert in Lilli's life

Robert should have lost all sympathy with the "Der Bergdoktor" audience: With an insidious trick he wanted to dissuade Lilli Gruber from her study plans and the daughter of Dr.

Tie Martin Gruber (Hans Sigl, 53) closer to himself.

But Lilli found out and realized that the jealous Robert had lied to her.

In addition to the separation in season 15, there was a juicy slap in the face.

It was once love at first sight, but there is no longer any room for Robert (Timon Ballenberger) in Lilli Gruber's (Ronja Forcher) life.

But even in the new "Der Bergdoktor" season, Robert appeared again despite the end of love and wanted to win Lilli back.

At first she even struggled with her decision, at times it seemed as if she wanted to give her ex a second chance.

In episode four, the two meet again for one last conversation – and everything looks like Lilli's decision is made!

When the young man shows up at the Gruberhof, the up-and-coming doctor takes the time to talk.

Criticism of the "Bergdoktor" - specialist journal for doctors criticizes the ZDF series:

"Der Bergdoktor" may be well received by its viewers, but there has already been criticism of the series from a professional perspective.

The Deutsches Ärzteblatt

 characterized protagonist Dr.

Martin Gruber as an uncooperative know-it-all whose everyday life in series has little to do with the actual medical profession.

The ZDF series is full of clichés and conveys the "classic image of doctors from the old Heimat films".

Farewell forever in a new episode of "Bergdoktor" – Lilli settles accounts with Robert

"I want to do better this time.

I want to listen to you, support you, be there for you,” Robert assures the Bergdoktor daughter.

However, she doesn't want to know anything about it: "My life has changed," Lilli lets him know, after all, things are turbulent in and around the Gruberhof at the moment.

Her head is "full of new impressions" because of the internship in the clinic and the encounter with her deceased mother's family - there is no time for love.

But because Robert doesn't want to understand that, Lilli has to be even clearer: "Have you actually forgotten how you treated me?

That you manipulated me, that I work in your shop - that I quit my dad's practice.

You never gave a shit what I wanted," she complains.

"So that's it then?" he asks in disbelief, but gets no answer.

But Lilli's silence also speaks volumes.

"Take care, Lilli Gruber," Robert says goodbye one last time and then leaves the Gruberhof.

It's probably a final farewell.

Timon Ballenberger is no longer listed as an actor for the upcoming episodes.

The stars of the series also cause enthusiasm outside of the alpine setting: as he recently revealed, pop singer Jürgen Drews (77) simply stormed the stage because of mountain doctor Hans Sigl.
