Astrologer and author Erica Facen pinpointed when the two eclipse seasons will be this new year. This 2023 there will be two seasons of eclipses. This 2023 there will be two seasons of eclipses.

The astrologer and author

Erica Noemi Facen

explains to

Clarín

that "we will have four eclipses, two solar and two lunar: two on the fixed axis of Taurus-Scorpio, and two on the cardinal axis of Aries-Libra".

The specialist, author of

All your moons.

Illustrated guide to the moon, your cycles and your mysteries

(Alfaguara), marks that

this year will have "vigorous beginnings"

thanks to the fact that the two solar eclipses —one hybrid and the other annular— will be on the axis of Aries, the first of the zodiacal wheel.

"Events on the Aries axis announce beginnings and solar eclipses too, since they are new moons," says Facen.

Regarding the fixed axis of Taurus-Scorpio, Facen explains that "we will finish healing the issues that are related to issues of personal value and stability (on the part of Taurus) and emotional exchange, sex, money and traumas (on the part of Scorpio) ”.

According to the astrologer, this axis will also promote the deep process of "healing our inner warrior and rescuing the hero or heroine that lies within us."

The complementary energy of Taurus-Scorpio also addresses the awareness of the power of our strength

.

A search is underway to find that balance, argues the specialist, in which too much force passes over others and too little prevents us from setting healthy and necessary limits.

On the other hand, "the

eclipse in Libra

promotes the necessary search for balance in relationships and harmony and beauty in our lives," says Facen.

To understand more about the influence of the eclipses of 2023, the astrologer suggests knowing

which are the areas of each person's natal chart that occupy the signs of the two axes

.

In this way, it will be more evident to identify the areas of life in which the eclipses would promote a transformation.

When will the two eclipse seasons be in 2023?

“The first eclipse season of the year will begin with

the full Moon in Libra on April 6 and will conclude with the new Moon in Taurus on May 19

.

It will include the first eclipse in Aries, a hybrid solar eclipse on April 20, and the penumbral lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 5,” says the astrologer.

One of the curiosities of this season is that the lunar eclipse in May will be the last of this decade positioned in Scorpio.

There will not be another in this sign until 2031.

“The

second season of eclipses will begin on September 29 with the Full Moon in Aries and will conclude with the strong Full Moon in Scorpio on November 13

.

It will include an annular solar eclipse in Libra on October 14 and a partial lunar eclipse in Taurus on October 28,” Facen explains.

The astrologer (on Instagram, @lunalogia) explains that she prefers to demarcate the eclipse season from the first previous lunation (2 weeks before) to the lunation following the last eclipse.

The 4 eclipses of 2023: interpretations of how they will impact the sky

  • Hybrid solar eclipse at 29º50´ Aries: April 20, 2023 (New Moon), 4:12 am (UTC)

This eclipse, the first in the sign of Aries since 2015, will take place while the Sun and the Moon are in strong tension with Pluto, announcing a lot of intensity, argues the astrologer.

Like other hybrid eclipses, it will be rare and intense.

Added to this, Facen indicates: “Mars, ruler of the event, will be found in unaspected Cancer (apart from minor aspects such as quintiles and a square to Chiron).

Venus is also

unaspected in the sky and this can cause the feeling of not knowing how to react (Mars) and not finding value or contact (Venus)

.

For its part, Mercury will be in a conjunction with the disruptive Uranus, changing ideas and beliefs about the concrete.

This event, says the astrologer, will add emphasis to the degrees at the end of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) and at the beginning of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius), which are already more than stimulated in 2023.

"If you have planets or math points in those degrees, it will be a momentous year, with great challenges and the opportunity for enormous achievements," says the author.

  • Penumbral lunar eclipse at 14º58´ of Scorpio: May 5, 2023 (Full Moon), 17:34 (UTC)

The last eclipse in Scorpio until 2031 will see the Moon opposite Uranus and Mercury retrograde next to the Sun.

“Mars and Pluto, rulers of the event, will face off in an opposition that has Lilith as an infiltrator, intensifying impulsiveness,” says Facen.

Mars is also in tension with Saturn, which can lead to frustration or a feeling of blockages on the part of authority.

Venus, for its part, connects with Jupiter announcing possible excesses, but also opportunities for profit and pleasure.

As part of the setup, the Sun and Moon will be stirred by Uranus, indicating permanent changes that promise to bring improvement.

Pluto is in tension with Venus and Jupiter, announcing the possibility of big surprises in the fields of finances and relationships.

  • Annular solar eclipse at 21º07´ Libra: October 14, 2023 (New Moon), 16:55 (UTC)

"The first eclipse in the sign of Libra since 2016 marks the beginning of a

work of balance between your interior and the world

out there," warns the astrologer.

"Venus rules this event and is in Virgo, in opposition to Saturn in Pisces, as if to say: 'let's analyze the details and bring the accounts up to date.'

Venus is also in tension to the Sun and the Moon, which announces that the moment is promising, but it can feel very uncomfortable, ”she explains.

The author also anticipates that

Lilith will be very close to Venus

, which heralds "a journey deep within yourself/or to account with your shadows and seek the light that shines within you."

Saturn and Mars are in a perfect trine revealing that what changes or starts right now will be stable and long term.

Pluto squares the Moon, the Sun and Mars

announcing a lot of transformation.

"Being the first event in the sign, it gives us a taste of what the eclipses in Libra will be throughout 2023 and 2024 and what are the lessons of the South Node that we must incorporate," says Facen.

  • Partial lunar eclipse at 5º09´ Taurus: October 28, 2023 (Full Moon), 20:24 (UTC)

The last eclipse of the year will also be the last in the sign of Taurus until 2031. The

full Moon will be in the sign of Taurus with Jupiter and Uranus retrograde

.

In Scorpio, the Sun with Mercury conjunct Mars.

About this configuration, the author highlights the fact that Mars and Mercury are strongly opposed to Jupiter, "announcing exaggerations in word and action."

In addition, the ruler of the event,

Venus, is in Virgo asking for integrity values

and going towards the essentials.

“The goddess is in some tension: she performs semi and sesqui-squares to the Sun and the Moon;

which may indicate financial conflicts or in affective relationships.

The broad opposition from Venus in Virgo to Neptune in Pisces will reveal possible excesses or the end of an illusion."

The astrologer interprets that this will happen "because we realize that what we want and attract does not match what we dream of."

“Saturn is making good aspects to the Sun and the Moon, containing and protecting at the same time that it asks for maturity to face the situations”, argues Facen.

"A great triangle of Earth, with a wide orb, is formed between Venus, Uranus and Pluto," he says.

For this reason, the author raises the question:

Could it be that we should transform values or pleasures?

As she indicates, both go hand in hand.

Erica Noemi Facen, author of Todas tus lunas, advised.
