In an interview he said of his selection:
“I thought I was like a stopped clock – I'm right twice every 24 hours.
But — I'm very glad you think it has style,"
he told the fashion magazine.

While many members of the royal family are known for repurposing worn garments, King Charles takes it to heart and even wears pieces that have been in his closet for decades.
For example, he wore a gray suit by Anderson & Sheppard to the wedding of Prince Harry (38) and Meghan Markle (41) in 2018 – a piece he has owned since 1984.
When asked by British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful (50) if the royal had considered wearing something new for such an occasion, Charles III replied: "I have considered it.
But in the case of this particular piece of clothing, as long as I can still wear the suit, I only wear it a couple of times a year, in the summer, so of course I want to keep this piece.” If he doesn’t, he’ll have to have something else made fit more in, he added.
