- Are writers, literature, good spokespersons for armies?
General Schill.
-
It is difficult to answer in absolute terms.
Some writers lead one to reflect on the meaning of military engagement.
But being a spokesperson would mean carrying a military thought that would exist in a formalized way, I don't think it's a reality.
The singularity of a soldier lies in the fact of being ready to kill at the cost of risking his own life.
The writers offer a reflection on war and the approach to the reality of combat: courage, heroism, honor and brotherhood in arms, but also fear, suffering, horror and sometimes madness .
