In recent days, Hamas sent a message to Egypt that it is ready to resume negotiations for a prisoner exchange deal with Israel, the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Akhbar" reported this morning (Wednesday).
According to the report, in the first stage the organization aims to reach a deal that will include the release of the captives Avra Mengistu and Hisham a-Sayed, in addition to information about the martyrs Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul.
This is in exchange for the release of Shalit deal prisoners who were re-arrested as well as female prisoners, minor and old prisoners and the bodies of terrorists.
According to the report, the Egyptians informed Hamas that they will forward the matter to the new Israeli government, and are waiting for the appointment of a new person in charge of the prisoners and missing persons case in place of Yaron Blum.
Hamas released a video on Monday in which they claim the captive Avra Mengistu appears.
"I am the prisoner Abra Magisto. How long will I be here? After my painful years here, where is the State of Israel? Who will save us from our fate?" said the Israeli prisoner during the video.

Hamas stated that they released the video to "highlight the failure of outgoing Chief of Staff Kochavi, and the lie to his people and government regarding false and imagined achievements.
The incoming Chief of Staff Halevi must prepare himself to bear the burden of this failure and its consequences."
