Implicated in a case of extortion of an elderly person, a young woman of 25 years gave herself up to the police on Monday.
In May 2021, in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, she knocked on the door of the home of this elderly person, claiming to want to wash her hands.
The landlady agreed to let her in.
But once inside, the young woman threw herself on the victim and tried to tie him up with tape.
The latter had struggled before being violently tackled to the ground and beaten.
Faced with the determination of the respondent, the victim ended up handing over his bank card, which the young woman then gave to an accomplice.
Before leaving, the suspect searched the apartment and stole objects.

Subsequently, the card had been used for various purchases and the investigations carried out by the investigators of the departmental security had made it possible to identify the two perpetrators.
The accomplice was also arrested on Monday at the Part-Dieu station.
Both were presented to the prosecution on Wednesday for a summons on a report for "extortion of a vulnerable person, theft in a home and fraud".
