Paris: 325 people evacuated from Boulevard de la Villette during a police operation

More than 300 migrants were evacuated this Wednesday morning from Boulevard de la Villette (19th century).


“Early in the morning, the state services mobilized to direct people sleeping on the street and grouped together on boulevard de la Villette to accommodation”, announced the Paris police headquarters (PP) in a press release. this January 18.

The services of @Prefet75_IDF sheltered 325 people at Boulevard de la Villette in the 19th.

A total of 325 people were evacuated.

Many of them were between under the Stalingrad metro.

Their “assessed” situation

The prefecture specifies that 168 of them “were directed to the region (outside Île-de-France)” and 157 others were taken care of “in Île-de-France”.

These people will benefit from “an assessment of their administrative situation, as well as social and health support”.

The operation resulted in the closure to traffic of boulevards de la Villette and de la Chapelle, between the Stalingrad and La Chapelle metro stations, according to 20 Minutes.
