Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that according to Ukrainian legislation and laws recently issued by the Kyiv regime itself, this regime cannot conduct negotiations with the Russian side.
Sputnik quoted Peskov as saying today, in response to a question about whether Russia would agree to provide compensation to Ukraine, within comprehensive negotiations: “Ukrainian laws do not allow the Kyiv regime to conduct negotiations with Russia.”
Peskov added: “Russia is ready to solve problems through negotiations, but in circumstances where the laws of Ukraine prohibit its president from conducting any contacts or dialogue with us, in addition to the fact that Westerners are not inclined to allow Kiev any flexibility in this regard, we cannot talk about any current prospects.
Peskov had announced earlier that Russia is ready to resolve the Ukrainian crisis through negotiations, and to achieve the goals peacefully, stressing that this is the best option.
