The axes of the training workshop held by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Vanguards of the Baath Organization focused on identifying vocational options for children, stimulating practical training and positive self-support for their skills.

The workshop, which was held at the Youth Empowerment Center in Damascus, lasted for 3 days, and targeted 25 children from 6 to 12 years old, under the title “Child Entrepreneurship”.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Muhammad Saif al-Din explained in a statement to reporters the importance of supporting vocational education for children, in a way that contributes to preparing a generation that can contribute to the reconstruction phase, noting that it is necessary to educate and train children and introduce them to the vocational work that they can do in the future.

The head of the organization, Dr. Izzat Arabi Katbi, explained that the activities that were carried out during the workshop fall within the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry, as they focused on introducing children to professions and discovering their talents and abilities so that they can choose their profession correctly, pointing out that future plans are to focus on children in social care homes and orphans.

Head of the Office of Culture and External Relations of the organization, Nami Shaddoud, indicated that it is necessary to promote the culture of building special projects among children so that they can make their own choices, explaining that steps have been put in place for how to deal with them, starting from the concepts related to projects, and selecting distinguished children from among the pioneers in the organization.

The specialist and trainer in psychological support, Bushra Al-Farra, pointed out that the training program provided information about intellectual and muscular professions and introduced the basic steps that they can benefit from through the social environment and the environment in which they live.

A number of parents emphasized the importance of the trainings that were presented during the workshop in terms of self-development and the inculcation of national, educational and social values ​​and concepts in them. Ghada Issa and Iman Dalei saw that the activities provided contribute to strengthening the children's personality and building their abilities to be active in the future.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Social Affairs signed in November of last year a memorandum of understanding with the Vanguards of the Baath Organization to implement various projects and activities with the aim of empowering children from 6 to 12 years old, providing them with psychological and material support and working on building their capacities.
