Link & Co launches in Israel with a powerful and economical plug-in crossover, which shares common components with the Volvo XC40.

Less than half a year after the Meir company, importer of Volvo and Honda, launched Polestar in Israel, this morning the company in Tel Aviv launched another car brand from China: "Lync&Co".

This is a new premium brand, which, like Polestar, is designed by Volvo in Sweden but manufactured in Geely factories in China.

Incidentally, this is the 15th Chinese car brand to start operations in Israel, and the third among the Chinese to join the luxury market alongside WEY and Hongchi.

The first model to be offered here is the Link 01, a crossover that was developed on Volvo's CMA platform and even shares many common mechanical assemblies with it.

The design is handsome, but routine compared to what is common in this category, with the exception of the front of the vehicle, which received a unique design with lighting units located at the height of the hood.

The dimensions are acceptable for the category of family recreational vehicles (454 cm in length, 185 cm in width and 169 cm in height) and already on the outside you will find rich equipment as standard which includes, among other things, 20" wheel rims, full LED peripheral lighting and an electric panoramic glass roof.

The driver's environment has a typical design that characterizes models coming from the East, but the company says of a large investment in the quality of the passenger cabin, with a multitude of soft-touch surfaces that also contribute to more successful noise isolation than usual and NVH data equivalent to luxury models.

As part of the effort to be "green" and environmentally friendly, the upholstery of the seats is a fabric made of recycled plastic, mainly from discarded fishing nets.

With a wheelbase of 273 cm, it is also a relatively spacious cabin for five passengers.

In the first phase, the car will be marketed only in one rich finish level, which includes: a 12.3 digital dashboard, a high-quality 12.7" touchscreen multimedia that includes connectivity to Android Auto and Apple Car-Play, an electric driver's seat, heated front seats, an electric handbrake, a high-quality Infinity audio system, A system for performing automatic parking, a wireless charging surface and more.

Rich accessories.

The model has a score of 5 stars in the European crash test.

The model will be marketed in Israel in a plug-in hybrid version (PHEV) equipped with a power unit similar to the one found in the Volvo XC40 PHEV - a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbo gasoline engine, an electric motor that produces a combined power of 262 hp and a dual-clutch automatic-robotic gearbox with 7 gears The data sheet tells about acceleration to 100 km/h in 8 seconds, a maximum speed of 210 km/h and the possibility of traveling on electricity alone for a distance of up to 75 km at a speed of up to 120 km/h. Charging the battery at home takes about two and a half hours .

The price of Link and Line 01 is indeed competitive compared to competitors coming from popular brands and is set at NIS 229,000.

For comparison, the price of the Kia Sportage is 249,900 shekels, the price of the Peugeot 3008 is 249,990 shekels and the price of the Toyota Rav 4 is 279,990 shekels, all in their PHEV versions.

The price of the stepsister Volvo XC40 Recharge is also significantly higher and stands at NIS 284,900.

The new model will be marketed in Israel with a warranty for 4 years or 100,000 km and a battery warranty for 8 years or up to 160,000 km.

According to the importer, hundreds of cars are already in Israel for immediate delivery.
