The assize court for minors in Draguignan (Var) on Tuesday sentenced Adam *, now 21 years old, to 12 years in prison for having executed the father of a friend.
The two young people, both minors at the time of the events, fomented his assassination in the hope of receiving part of the inheritance.
The victim's son was sentenced by the juvenile court in April 2022 to 15 years in prison.
"I want him dead"
During the first confinement in April 2020, Sylvain P., at the head of a large real estate portfolio, was shot in the head in his property in Draguignan.
Very quickly, the investigation focused on the victim's son, Jordan*, then 15 years old.
A sheet was found in his room on which was written: “
If you kill him (sic), you have 2000 and there will be no problem with the counts (Editor’s note: the police).
Don't worry but I want him dead.
The hearing of his classmates made it possible to understand that the young man had been seeking for nearly a year to have his father executed, accusing him of violence against him.
These were not confirmed by the investigation.

The teenager, described as "
manipulative
" and "
venal
" by his entourage, finally turned to a friend, Adam *, at the time 17 years old.
This apprentice had developmental and attention disorders.
He eventually gave in to his friend's assistance.
According to the messages exhumed from their cell phones, the two teenagers planned following the assassination to leave the territory after having shared part of the inheritance (which the son estimated at 460,000 euros) or to become traffickers drug.
As soon as he was placed in police custody, Adam had expressed his regrets to the investigators: “
I think he is crazy and I am the only stupid person to have accepted.

An “influenceable” defendant
During the two days of hearing which were held behind closed doors, the debates made it possible to highlight the manipulation suffered by Adam,
his lawyer, Me Laurent Latapie , told

His behavioral problems were accentuated during the crisis .

My client stopped taking his medication and became more and more suggestible.
