After being sentenced to 12 years in prison, Rami Yogev petitioned the Supreme Court with a demand to withdraw from the plea agreement he signed, and to return to the legal proceedings against him. According to his defense attorney, the reason for this is the pressure exerted on him during the trial. The opinion submitted by a professional who diagnosed him reads: "Obviously who was in a situation where he could not make decisions"

Rami Yogev, a former El Al executive who was convicted of smuggling cocaine into Israel, and sentenced to 12 years in prison, petitioned the Supreme Court to withdraw from the plea agreement he signed, and to return to the point where the legal proceedings against him were terminated.

The reason, according to his defense attorney, attorney Nir Yaslovich

, is that the signing of the plea agreement was done under great pressure and in an unstable mental state.

uncontrolled.

He would go into a dissociative state for long minutes." According to him, "It is clear to me that Rami

In a graphological opinion attached to the petition, which is based, among other things, on Yogev's signature on the plea agreement, it is written that it is indeed his signature, but it was signed under pressure.

"It was signed under extreme pressure for him," it said.

His defense attorney, attorney Nir Yaslovitz said: "The new evidence submitted by me to the Supreme Court proves that Rami confessed to a crime that he never committed.

I am full of hope that the Supreme Court will order the acceptance of the appeal and the conduct of the trial from the beginning so that Rami can properly prove his complete innocence."
