Winter weather in January remains - new snowfall from Friday
The wintry weather will continue on Friday (January 20), as the DWD predicts: “extremely heavy snow showers” can be expected from the North Sea to Schleswig-Holstein, northern Lower Saxony and Hamburg.
There can be amounts of fresh snow of up to three centimeters, in isolated cases up to five.
Long-lasting snowfalls will start in the Alps from the afternoon.
Within 36 hours, the DWD expects a total of five to 20 centimeters of snow - in traffic jams even more.
