A serious indictment was filed today by the Tel Aviv district attorney's office (criminal) against eight Israelis who conspired together with the aim of carrying out an assassination in Jaffa using drones against a person whose identity is unknown.

A criminal's use of an innovative technology of remotely activating a charge using a drone could have turned the Israeli street into a battlefield of wounded and dead. The failure to activate the charge does not in the least diminish the danger of the respondents, who did not hesitate to carry out a bloody attack in the city of Jaffa and their activities were stopped But due to external circumstances and thanks to the vigilance and determination of the police."
The defendants Abu Gabbar, Omar Sarsour, Taha, Ahmed Farij Muhammad Nadi, Noor Sarsour, Zarzour Abu Qutb were charged with the offense of conspiracy to commit a crime;
Abu Gabbar and Omar Sarsour were also charged with carrying and transporting weapons and ammunition without permission according to law and attempting to destroy property with an explosive material;
Nadi was charged with the offense of possessing a weapon without permission according to law;
Taha and Farij were also charged with possession of a weapon.

The investigation was opened on 12/14/22, after a foreign citizen from the Philippines who was riding his bicycle on Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa, noticed a drone with its lights on resting on a low stone wall, with an object underneath that he suspected was an explosive device.
