announced this Thursday that he will work to "lead" the Justicialista Party (PJ) of the province of Buenos Aires, which is formally chaired by Deputy
Máximo Kichner
.
In addition, Duhalde encouraged the formation of a "great coalition with the other forces" for the next elections.
In a video of almost one minute published on his social networks, Duhalde anticipated that he will begin to "work to lead" the Buenos Aires PJ.
"Our comrades are without leadership," the former Buenos Aires governor also analyzed, and although he stated that "Peronism has been usurped" and that file "is being resolved" in the Supreme Court, it is "necessary to get to work."
Duhalde's reference is to the complaint made at the time by the former president of the Buenos Aires PJ and mayor of Esteban Echeverría,

The former head of state warned: "We are all fighting with everyone within the party" and asked to "end it."
"Quickly, once it's organized, unite in a great coalition with the other political forces, as we always did," was the wish he expressed in the video.
"There is no way out in Argentina if we keep fighting," said Duhalde, and insisted: "All together we have to put together a great coalition."
However, the former president clarified that on this last point he will speak "later."
It is not the first time that Duhalde has faced Máximo Kirchner.
In March 2021, Duhalde asked the PJ Electoral Board to challenge 12 candidates from the official list presented by the leader of La Cámpora for not complying with "the requirements" established in the party organic charter.
According to the ex-president's presentation, Máximo Kirchner did not meet the required two-year affiliation: the head of the bloc of the Frente de Todos en Diputados just did so, according to the documentation provided by the former president, on February 12, 2021.

The Supreme Court has the case of the presidency of Máximo Kirchner in the Buenos Aires PJ
Since February of last year, the highest court has in its hands the possibility of declaring void the election that established Máximo Kirchner as president of the Buenos Aires PJ.
After the presentation in court, the mayor of Esteban Echeverría, Fernando Gray, achieved an unprecedented ruling by which the National Electoral Chamber raised to the highest court its claim against the assumption of Kirchner in the Buenos Aires Peronism because it is a case of possible “institutional gravity”.

The mayor of Esteban Echeverría points out that the formation of the new party authorities violates the law on political parties, because -according to his complaint- there are leaders affiliated with other parties and, furthermore, because -although there was a single list- there was no formal electoral act in which affiliates could exercise their right to vote (blank or even not vote).
He points to some of the new authorities, among others, for lack of seniority, such as Andrés Larroque, general secretary of La Cámpora, and the deputy Vanesa Siley, whom Kirchner wants to anoint as one of his three vice presidents (after reforming the statute).
If the Court agreed with Gray, the mayor would retain the presidency of the party, which has alternated since 2017 with the mayor on leave from Merlo, Gustavo Menéndez, who today is aligned with Kirchner.
The hypothetical and replacement head of the PJ should then call new elections.
In addition, the recent election of the party's advisors in the 8 electoral sections -called by Kirchner- would be annulled.
