Two nurses from the Sharon area were accepted to study at the Tel Aviv-Yafo Academic College, in a program to convert academics to nursing studies.
The sisters submitted fake documents to the college, according to which they had completed a bachelor's degree at the Open University, which allowed them to be accepted.
The case was discovered when the student's sister, who had already studied for a year, applied for admission based on the forged documents.
In recent days, an indictment was filed against the two.
According to the indictment, several years ago one of the sisters, about 30 years old, falsified documents that supposedly show that she has a diploma signed in her name, as a bachelor's degree in social sciences and humanities, and a grade sheet from the Open University.
In practice, she never studied an academic course at the Open University and was not entitled to a bachelor's degree.
After that, she came to a counseling session at the academic college, during which she submitted the forged documents, with the aim of being admitted to the academic conversion program for nursing studies.
The admissions committee rejected the defendant's candidacy.

A year later, her sister, about 40 years old, also arrived at the college with forged documents of a diploma signed in her name as a bachelor's degree in social sciences and humanities, and a grade sheet from the Open University, even though she had never enrolled in academic studies at the Open University, and was not entitled to a bachelor's degree.
The same sister was actually accepted for studies and even finished the first year.

But then her sister came again for another counseling session at the college in order to be accepted for studies, and this time she received a letter from the teacher about her acceptance for studies, however, following an investigation by the academic college with the Open University, the forgery was discovered, and when they also checked her sister, who as mentioned had already completed one year of studies, it became clear that Her documents are fake.
The college informed the police about this, which opened an investigation, and now an indictment is being filed against the two for forgery, using a forged document and obtaining something fraudulently.
